The Ritz-Carlton, Bali opens its doors

6 Feb 2015 by Clement Huang

Ritz-Carlton has opened a new luxury resort in Bali. Located in Sawangan, Nusa Dua, The Ritz-Carlton, Bali offers 313 hotel rooms, including 34 cliff top and ocean view villas that offer sweeping coastline views of the Indian Ocean.

Design-wise, the resort embraces the local themes and culture. In particular the use of wood and natural plants throughout the resort pay homage to the "Tree of Life", known to locals as “Kalpataru”, which represents strength, wisdom and beauty. The use of "anyaman" (weaved) decor also represents the influence from local craftsmen and creates an environment that is rustic yet elegant.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bali offers six restaurant and lounges, including Bejana, the property’s soon-to-open Indonesian restaurant; The Beach Grill, that serves up seafood and grilled specialities along the shore; Raku, a Japanese lounge and bar; Senses, an all day dining restaurant; The Ritz-Carlton Lounge & Bar, which serves a fine selection of premium tea; and Breezes Tapas Lounge offering light snacks by the pool.

Recreational facilities include the brand’s signature Ritz Kids club that is housed in a dedicated building, and comes with play and study spaces for young ones. The Ritz-Carlton Club Level includes a private pool and sun deck that is exclusively for the use of club guests. Meanwhile, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, due to open soon, will consist of 14 treatment rooms where guests can receive a distinctive Balinese wellness experience.

Finally, an oceanfront wedding chapel is the perfect way of having a romantic island wedding, while meeting facilities that can accommodate up to 200 guests provide great opportunities for corporate and private events.
