Langham Hospitality Group is to launch a new brand named Cordis Hotels and Resorts.
The Hong Kong-based company will introduce the new "upscale" offering by rebranding the Langham Place Mongkok Hong Kong in May.
It said each property would be individual in design and would take a "holistic" approach to guests' needs.
They will be a combination of new-builds and conversions in both business and leisure locations. Management agreements have been signed to open seven other properties in the next three years — five in China, one in Colombo and another in Bali.
In addition, the group intends to expand the brand in London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok.
As we reported last year, Langham also plans to reposition its four-star Eaton brand as a boutique offering and roll it out across Europe and North America (see news, April 2014). It will start with a Washington DC property at the end of this year.
