WCT Holdings Berhad (WCT) has announced that it will open a new property in Kuala Lumpur in 2016.
Managed by New World Hotels & Resorts, the hotel will occupy the top 12 floors of a multi-purpose tower – part of the RM1.8 billion Paradigm integrated commercial development in Jelana Jaya. Other offerings in the building will include a shopping mall, offices, serviced residences and a multi-storey carpark.
New World Petaling Jaya will be designed by Singapore-based Avalon Collective Interior Design, and feature 316 guestrooms and suites with the brand’s signature Residence Club Living Room offering executive club benefits such as complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and dedicated concierge service for eligible guests.
Other facilities include a restaurant and rooftop bar; 2,000sqm of meeting and event space; and an outdoor rooftop pool and gym.
“New World Petaling Jaya Hotel will be a significant component of Paradigm Integrated Commercial Development,” says Taing Kim Hwa, managing director of WCT. “Not only will it appeal to domestic Malaysia and international visitors, it will serve the local market and tap into synergies from shoppers and mall visitors, tenants, employees in the Class A corporate offices as well as residents in the serviced suites.”
