BA offers free first class upgrades

23 Jan 2015 by GrahamSmith

Eligible British Airways Club World passengers can snag a free one-way upgrade to first class for a limited period.

The special offer is available from now until March 13, for travel up to April 11.

Several terms and conditions apply. Passengers must be residents of the UK, with a return booking that involves at least one sector in business class with an "A" class status. Other sectors can be "J" (fully flexible) class, "C" (semi-flexible) class, selected "D" or "R" (semi-flexible) classes. Upgrades must be requested at the time of booking.

Due to flight frequencies, the airline has revealed that customers are more likely to get a free one-way upgrade on the following routes: New York, Washington, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, Johannesburg, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Passengers that successfully receive a one-way upgrade will enjoy all of the exclusive first class perks, including being able to use the dedicated first class check-in area at Heathrow's Terminal 5, and enjoy a baggage allowance of up to three 32kg bags.

Other benefits include fast track through security, access to BA's Concorde Room lounge and priority boarding.

Once onboard, passengers can relax in one of the airline's 14 individual suites, each with its own fully-flat bed, personal wardrobe and 15-inch video screen.

Interested parties can visit ba.com/upgrade for more information, along with a complete list of the terms and conditions. Bookings can be made online, through a travel agent or via BA's reservation hotline at +44 (0)844 493 0787.
