Four Seasons to develop new properties in Bangkok

12 Jan 2015 by Clement Huang

Just weeks after Business Traveller Asia-Pacific reported that the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok would become the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel & Spa from March 1 (see here), Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has revealed plans for a new hotel and residence property in the capital of Thailand.

Working alongside Country Group Development (CGD), the hotel group will introduce the new Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River into its portfolio, offering guests a waterfront experience.

The hotel itself will offer more than 300 rooms and suites, with all the services that guests have come to expect from a Four Seasons hotel. Meanwhile, The Private Residences will comprise 350 units within a 73-storey building that delivers some of the best views of the Bangkok city skyline.

The development represents a significant contribution to the revitalisation of one of Thailand’s prominent waterways. With more than 350 metres of waterfront, the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences will provide this largely undeveloped land with some much need flair.

“Our contribution to the revival of the Chao Phraya River and skyline of Bangkok reflects our passion and respect for our city’s rich culture and history and our desire to see it be renowned as one of the greatest urban waterways in the world,” said Ben Taechaubol, chief executive of CGD.

Both Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River are scheduled for a 2018 opening.

Parties interested in the units of the Private Residences can look forward to the launch of The Residential Sales Gallery later this month, which will be situated on the development site of Soi Charoen Krung, 64 Charoen Krung Road, Yannawa Sathorn.
