Guests staying in the executive rooms at the Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur can now enjoy the newly refurbished club lounge on the 26th floor.
Club lounge at Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur
The upgrade project was a significant investment by the hotel, totalling US$2 million. The refurbishment was overseen by Thailand’s P49 Deesign & Associates and features a neutral colour palette infused with white marble to create a fresh, luxurious and dramatic impact.
TerimaKashih
The club lounge’s interior contains elements of Malaysia’s cultural heritage alongside modern touches. One example of local influences is the hand-painted “TerimaKashih” – a portrait of three ladies representing the different races in Malaysia.
Other local artworks include traditional “PuaKumbu” dyed woven cloth from Sarawak, and the “WayangKulit” wall etching.
Mezzanine floor
The refurbished club lounge is able to accommodate up to 100 guests and includes a reception counter, lounge area, a large mezzanine floor with a boardroom and meeting facilities, a quiet library corner, and smoking area on the balcony that looks out over the Kuala Lumpur skyline.
Boardroom
The usual executive lounge privileges are also available, with daily buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail hour. In addition, guests can also enjoy complimentary high speed internet, local calls, daily laundry or pressing, usage of the boardroom, and late check-out.
