Hyatt to introduce free wifi globally

24 Dec 2014 by Clement Huang

Hyatt Hotels Corporation will introduce free wifi to all of its properties worldwide from February 2015 onwards, providing connectivity to every guest regardless of booking method or loyalty programme participation. There will also be no restrictions on the number of devices that can access the free wifi at any given time.

“Internet connectivity is no longer an amenity. It has become an integral part of travellers’ daily lives and a basic expectation,” said Kristine Rose, vice president of brands for Hyatt. “Travellers shouldn’t have to remember which brands or locations offer it for free or the strings attached to get it.”

Currently, free wifi is only offered by several of Hyatt’s brands, as well as to elite members of the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty programme.

As an added benefit to premium members, they will be able to enjoy a complimentary upgrade to premium wifi service when available.
