SkyTeam has completed the rollout of SkyPriority, with the service now available to Elite Plus, first and business class customers at more than 1,000 airports worldwide.
SkyPriority, first launched in January 2012, provides eligible passengers with “the red carpet treatment”, and includes services such as priority check-in at the airport, priority boarding and priority baggage handling.
With the completion of the rollout, SkyTeam will now focus in introducing Fast Track lanes at security and immigration for its premium customers. The global airline alliance intends to introduce this privilege to some 60 airports – 39 of them have already implemented Security Fast Track service while 21 have Immigration Fast Track Service.
“By offering Fast Track services at our 27 hubs and further 33 top airports that are served by more than six SkyTeam members, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to enhancing the travel experience for our top global customers,” said Michael Wisbrun, SkyTeam’s managing director.
In line with the service benefits afforded by SkyPriority, the airline alliance has also launched a SkyPriority Finder tool on its website. By entering their departure, arrival and transit airports, as well as the airline they are flying with, customers can learn which SkyPriority services will be available to them at every point on their journey.
