Etihad Airways has introduced new inflight products and improvements to its long-haul first, business and economy class cabins.
According to the Gulf carrier, the upgrades will be implemented over time across its entire fleet.
Inspired by hotel hospitality, the first class service now includes a personalised welcome letter from the cabin service manager, along with a silver-tray reception service starting with a welcome drink, fragrant hot towel and traditional Arabic dates.

First class dining now features chinaware by Japan’s famed fine-bone china producer Nikko, and designer ‘Royal Oak’ cutlery by British brand Studio William. Drinks are served in stemmed crystal glasses created exclusively for the airline by Lucaris.

A new contemporary menu design, enhanced selection of canapés, pre-dessert course, and a ‘Café Gourmand’ coffee and tea course are all part of the new innovations in first class.

The cabin interiors have been further accentuated with luxurious throws and cushions that reflect the colour palette of the new interiors being introduced on the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9. First class turn-down service will be accompanied by a ‘Sweet Dreams’ card, all-natural bed linen, pillow mist and pulse point oil.

The ‘Dine Anytime’ option will remain for all premium class passengers, but Etihad will enhance this by introducing an ‘All Day’ menu for longer flights.
Finally, the economy class cabins now sport new interiors, with colourful headrest covers, pillowcases and fleece blankets. Menu cards, tableware and meal trays have also been reworked, and positioned in line with Etihad’s focus on contemporary design and functionality.
Long-haul economy class drawstring amenity kit
Economy customers travelling on long-haul night flights will also receive a new pillow that has been designed to convert from a standard pillow to a neck pillow. A cotton drawstring amenity kit is also provided and includes an eye-mask with ‘Do not disturb’ and ‘Wake me for Meals’ printed on each side.
