Hilton Worldwide has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne – Flinders Street.
Previously known as the Citigate Melbourne, the new hotel is the brand’s first property in Melbourne and is within walking distance of a number of popular attractions such as Federation Square, Melbourne's famous laneways, restaurants, bars, shopping, and the vibrant arts and entertainment district around the Yarra River's south bank.
The 180-room hotel has undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment project, with extensive renovations to the lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and guest rooms.

In addition to DoubleTree's chocolate chip cookie welcome, guests can look forward to other signature features such as Sweet Dreams bedding and high-speed wifi service throughout the hotel.
Dining options include the lobby bar where guests can relax by an open fire while enjoying a quick grab-and-go breakfast, or Fawcett and Ashworth Grill, which features an open kitchen serving flame-grilled steaks, classic comfort dishes and the latest Melbourne foodie trends.
Two meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 140 people are available for a range of event needs. In addition, a 24-hour fitness centre and 24-hour business centre round up the hotels facilities.
