Virgin Atlantic (Virgin) is expected to deploy its newly delivered Boeing 787-9 aircraft to Dubai, Johannesburg and Shanghai Pudong from winter next year.
As previously reported by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific (see here), the carrier took delivery of its first B787-9 Dreamliner last month, and has started flying the aircraft to Boston and Delhi.
Per a report by airlineroute.net, it has now been revealed that Virgin will effectively begin operating the Dreamliner daily to Dubai, Johannesburg and Shanghai Pudong from October 25, 2015.
Virgin’s B787-9 aircraft offers a three-class configuration with 31 seats in Upper Class, 35 in premium economy and 198 in economy. The airline has a further 15 Dreamliners on order.
