NokScoot showcases livery and uniform designs

25 Nov 2014 by Clement Huang

NokScoot is gearing up for its upcoming January-launch after officially unveiling a new brand ID and livery for its B777-200ER fleet, as well as cabin crew uniforms.

NokScoot says it was looking to combine Nok Air’s iconic bird’s beak with Scoot’s yellow swoosh when designing the livery.

As is customary in Thailand, NokScoot’s inaugural “triple seven” has been given a name, which means ‘sparkling’ in Thai, while ‘proud’, its homophone is printed on the left side of the aircraft.

“The design not only represents our spirit of adventure and exploration, but it also reflects who we are. Our fun, cheerfulness and friendliness will be present both in the air and on the ground at all airports,” said Piya Yodmani, NokScoot’s chief executive.

Meanwhile, the cabin crew uniform shares a distinct resemblance to Scoot’s existing design. Bright yellow and black are incorporated to portray the airline’s cheerfulness and professionalism.

“We value simplicity and efficiency. As a result, the design looks quite minimalist, yet still smart. The design also allows our cabin crew to perform their duties comfortably,” said Piya.

As previously reported by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific (see here), the low-cost carrier had reported earlier this month that it had received all necessary documentation required to take to the skies, and was looking to launch its inaugural service to Japan in January.
