Disney magic at Changi Airport this Christmas

14 Nov 2014 by Clement Huang

Travellers passing through Singapore’s Changi Airport this Christmas are set to be welcomed by a dazzle of Disney magic as the air hub is transformed into a winter wonderland.

From 14 November 2014 to 5 January 2015, elaborate Disney-themed set-ups will allow visitors to indulge in fun-filled activities at the airport.

Terminal 3’s departure hall will be home to a three-storey interactive Neuschwanstein Castle. Inspired by classic Disney-palaces featured in Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, the castle will feature a moving train taking guests through a German-style countryside set.

Of course, Disney’s most beloved couple Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be parading through the terminal for meet-and-greet sessions, so be sure to get your camera primed and ready!

Daily multi-sensory shows are also on the cards, which will combine lights and music with stories to engage the audience. Performances will include the Gingerbread Man, Toy Soldier, Drummer Boy, Fairy Princess and Candy Cane stilt-walkers.

However, the pièce de résistance is that Changi Airport will actually be making it snow within the terminal.

And what about Terminal 1 and Terminal 2? Well, visitors passing through the older terminals will be treated to picturesque displays of Broadway-style New York City (T1) and traditional Japanese cottages (T2).
