Outbound service EK207 will depart Dubai at 1450 and land in New York at 2035, while return flight EK208 will take-off from JFK at 1630 and land in Dubai at 1315 the next day.

The airline curently flies two other non-stop A380 services between Dubai and JFK, and one B777 service that routes via Milan.

Emirates senior vice president Hubert Frach said: "This new service will allow passengers the convenience of an afternoon departure from both Dubai and New York, to complement the existing morning and evening departures of our existing three services.

"Once in the US, our partnership with JetBlue adds even more seamless connectivity onto their network of 65 destinations from JFK."

Last month, it emerged that Emirates will operate an A380 to Milan from December 1 (see news, October 7).
