Luxury hotel group Raffles is opening a property in Jakarta on January 1.
Located in the commercial hub of Kuningan, Raffles Jakarta will contain 173 guestrooms and suites that the group claims will be among the largest in the Indonesian capital.
It will also feature a private boardroom, a 2,500 sqm ballroom, a spa, a fitness centre, a yoga terrace, tennis courts, and a variety of restaurants and bars.
Richard Schestak, the hotel's general manager, said: "Raffles brings the best of both worlds to this opening — the most modern facilities, technology, exciting, stylish restaurants and bars, alongside the 127-year Raffles heritage of providing warm and graceful service, embodied by the legendary Raffles butlers."
The other Raffles properties are located in Cambodia, China, Paris, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles and UAE, as well as the flagship Raffles Singapore.
The group's plans between 2016 and 2018 are to open hotels and resorts in Warsaw, Sharm El Sheikh, Shenzhen and Jeddah.
