Delta Air Lines business class passengers arriving at London Heathrow Terminal 3 now have the option of private car access at Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class Wing.
The US carrier claims the move means its Business Elite passengers will be able to transfer from car to lounge in less than ten minutes.
They will be met by Virgin Atlantic concierge staff, who will provide printed boarding passes and will handle any checked luggage.
Passengers will then be taken through fast-track security and onto the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge.
The service is the same as that provided to Virgin's Upper Class customers and comes as part of Delta and Virgin's transatlantic joint venture, which began earlier this year. Delta joined Virgin at Heathrow T3 in April (see news, April 2).
Delta Business Elite passengers can request access to the Upper Class Wing by contacting Delta's Upper Class Wing support team on 0808 145 3742 (UK) or 1-800-985 8706 (USA) no longer than one month or less than 14 hours before a flight. Full passenger, flight, checked baggage, vehicle and arrival details must be provided when requesting access.
