The maximum amount airlines flying in and out of Hong Kong may charge passengers in the month of November for fuel surcharges will be HK$172 for short-haul flights and HK$757 HK for long-haul flights, representing decreases of about 6 percent from current levels.
The applicable surcharge levels are based on the ticket issue date.
Passenger fuel surcharges allow airlines to partially recover increases in operational costs due to fluctuations in fuel prices.
