United Airlines will axe three weekly flights on its Houston to Tokyo Narita route from December.
The US carrier currently flies ten-times weekly between the two cities, a reduction on its twice daily operation during the summer (see news, March 31).
From December 5, the service will be further reduced to daily. This frequency will remain in force into next summer and is half that of summer 2014, reports airlineroute.net.
Flight UA007 departs Houston at 1040 and arrives at Narita at 1550 the following day. Return flight UA006 takes off from Narita at 1700 and lands in Houston at 1345 the same day.
