Hilton Worldwide has celebrated the opening of the 202-room Hilton Nay Pyi Taw in the capital of Myanmar.
Situated within the developing Dekhina Thiri Township, the new property is a 30-minutes drive from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport, and located near Ruby Hall – the meetings and conventions venue for the upcoming Ninth East Asia Summit.
With Hilton Nay Pyi Taw looking to tap into the meeting, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) market, the hotel offers five function spaces including a standing reception area, and a 458 sqm ballroom. A business centre is also available.
All 202 guestrooms offer wifi as well as flat-screen televisions with satellite channels. Suites, each with its own balcony, come in a number of configurations including single bedroom, two bedrooms and the 720 sqm presidential suite. Meanwhile, the executive lounge offers complimentary continental breakfast, all-day light refreshments and evening cocktails.
Dining options include The Elements – an all-day dining joint offering a mix of Asian and international fare; The Axis Lounge that allows guests to connect over teas, coffees and light bites throughout the day; and Boardwalk – the hotel’s poolside bar that provides refreshments.
Finally, recreational and wellness facilities include spa services, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and tennis court.
As usual, the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty program is supported by the new hotel. Guests staying at Hilton Nay Pyi Taw from November 24 this year to March 31, 2015 can earn 1,000 bonus points per night, up to a maximum of 5,000 points per stay.
