Office space specialist Regus has opened a meetings and arrivals facility at Gatwick's South Terminal.
The Regus Express lounge, which is located landside in the arrivals area, claims to be the first to combine facilities such as showers and breakfast with the more traditional meeting room and business lounge offering.
There is a breakfast area with five showers, a library and open-plan work area with free wifi and refreshments. Ten meeting rooms are available by the hour and there is also an outside area.
One in five Gatwick passengers is travelling on business, Regus said.
Phil Kemp, Regus Third Place global managing director, said: "Gatwick, with its magnitude of connections to business destinations around Europe and its ability to connect arriving passengers to London within 30 minutes, provided us with the perfect opportunity to offer Regus Express to its 38 million passengers."
Access is gained in three ways. There is an Arrivals package, which includes two hours in the lounge, breakfast and shower facilities, at £30, while pay-as-you-go access to the business lounge is £8 per hour or £40 a day.
The third option is Regus Businessworld Gold membership at £35 per month, which provides drop-in access to Regus' UK network of business lounges including Regus Express.
