Both Langham Place, Haining and Langham Place, Datong are scheduled to begin operations later this year as part of the group’s growth plans in China – which has seen it open three new hotels so far in 2014.
As previously reported by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific (see here, here and here), Langham Place Hotels in Ningbo, Xiamen and Guangzhou have already opened their doors.
Langham Place, Haining will feature 266 guestrooms and be part of an mixed-use development comprising a retail shopping centre, commercial offices and residential apartments.
Dining options will include an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge and bar, and a fine-dining Chinese restaurant inspired by the Michelin-starred Ming Court concept seen at Langham Place, Hong Kong. Interestingly enough, it will also be the first fine-dining Chinese restaurant in Haining.
For events and meetings purposes, the hotel will be home to a 900sqm pillar-free grand ballroom, a junior ballroom that measures 300sqm, and eight multi-function rooms. A standout for event planners will be the 3,000sqm ceremonial hall set along the city’s river – a first for the Zhejiang Province.
Meanwhile, Langham Place, Datong will offer 293 guestrooms with 37 suites. Little information about the property have been released so far, but we do know that it will also feature a Ming Court Chinese restaurant.
In addition, the hotel will also include a spa centre that delivers a range of wellness and beauty treatments based on the philosophies of traditional Chinese medicine. A swimming pool and a fitness centre will round up Langham Place, Datong’s leisure facilities.
