Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has sealed the deal on its first Radisson Red-branded property in Asia-Pacific, with the signing of Radisson Red Shenyang Hunnan in Northeast China.
Famed for its historical and cultural attractions, such as UNESCO World Heritage sites Shenyang Imperial Palace, Fu Mausoleum and Zhao Mausoleum, the city is a popular tourist destination in China.
The 300-room Radisson Red Shenyang Hunnan is part of a twin hotel development that also includes Radisson Blu Shenyang, located within the city’s high-tech industrial development zone – home to some 6,000 enterprises.
It is expected that the new hotel will prove to be an attractive accommodation option for event delegates when it opens in 2016, as it is close to the Shenyang International Exhibition Center and the Sports Stadium.
While little information about the hotel has been revealed so far, its offerings will be in line with other Radisson Red properties. As the lifestyle brand of Carlson Rezidor, all Radisson Red hotels feature the Hi All Gallery, where art is integrated into the overall design. In addition, F&B outlets, Ouibar and the 24-hour Redeli will also be present.
“We expect to see Radisson Red feature significantly in our portfolio growth in China, as well as across the region, as the brand has a strong relevance to the growing segment of millennial-minded travelers and a compelling value proposition for hotel owners and investors,” said Thorsten Kirschke, president, Asia-Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
