China Eastern Airlines, one of the world’s largest carriers by fleet size and passenger numbers, is fast tracking the revenue launch of its new B777-300ER flagship aircraft.
From November 15, the three-class ‘triple seven’ will replace the A340-600 on the carrier’s daily MU587/8 Shanghai (Pu Dong) to New York (JFK) route.
For passengers, the change means a significant improvement in onboard comfort.
Unlike the A340, the new B777-300ER features 52 full-flat beds in business class, and 6 private suites in first – the first suite product on the mainland – and a newer, better economy seat.
