BA aircraft to feature at Kidzania London

British Airways is to partner with the forthcoming Kidzania London experience, located within Westfield's shopping complex at Shepherd's Bush.

The “educational entertainment experience” is due to open in 2015, and will feature the body of one of the carrier's A319 aicraft, which was lifted into the site at Westfield London this week. The structure measures over 18 metres long, weighs 16 tonnes, and took around 48 hours to install.

The exact details of the partnership have not yet been revealed, but a press release states that "KidZania is founded on the premise of creating realistic role-plays, which are experienced in real-world settings for kids aged from four to fourteen".

Kidzania has locations in over 15 cities worldwide, including Lisbon, Kuwait, Cairo, Dubai, Tokyo, Bangkok and Mumbai, with future destiations including London, Doha, Singapore, Jeddah and Moscow.

The London experience will feature a 75,000 square foot “life-like city”, where “kids can learn over 60 unique and exciting professions”, from pilots to TV presenters, dentists and policemen / women.
