Iraqi Airways to connect Guangzhou with Baghdad

24 Sep 2014 by Clement Huang

Iraqi Airways has announced a new weekly service connecting the Iraqi capital Baghdad with Guangzhou using a new two-class B777-200LR (long-range).

The service represents the only air link connecting the two countries.

Iraqi Airways operates a single B777-200LR that was delivered to the carrier fresh off the factory in late December 2012.

There are 14 business and 350 economy class seats on-board.

Outbound IA473 departs Baghdad every Saturday at 1030 and arrives at Guangzhou’s Baiyun at 0030 the following day. Inbound IA480 returns from Guangzhou at 0230 on Sundays and lands back in Baghdad at 0730.
