China Southern Airlines (CZ), the world’s largest carrier by fleet size, has said it will add up to 1,000 additional flights on over 70 popular routes during China’s national day holiday from September 29 to October 8.
Added flights are commonplace during ‘Golden Week’ as people across the country visit relatives or go on vacation.
CZ expects to be carrying over 2.45 million passengers during the eight-day holiday.
Domestically, it will add extra flights on routes between provincial capitals and popular tourist destinations, as well as second-tier cities, while 36 extra flights will be added on seven international routes to Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, including Shenyang-Tokyo, Changchun-Seoul and Shenyang-Seoul.
