Li Dianchun, commercial director of Hong Kong Airlines attributed the new route to the healthy growth of tourism in Japan, in particular by tourists from Mainland China and Thailand. According to Li, “the total number of Mainland China and Thailand tourists visiting Japan rose by 90.8% and 61% respectively.
