JAL to deploy Dreamliner to Beijing and Delhi

Japan Airlines (JAL) has updated its planned international operations for the winter season, and has now revealed that it will be introducing the Boeing 787 aircraft onto its services to Beijing and Delhi.

Effective from October 26, the Dreamliner will replace the existing B767 on one of JAL’s daily service to the Chinese capital of Bejing.

Flight JL021 departs Haneda Airport at 0910 and arrives in Beijing at 1220 everyday. Meanwhile, the return JL022 service leaves Beijing Capital International Airport at 1640 and lands back in Tokyo at 2100.

The deployment of the B787 on the Tokyo Narita–Delhi service will begin on December 1. The Dreamliner will replace the B777 that currently services flight JL749 and JL740.

The away leg sees flight JL749 depart Narita International Airport at 1135 and arrive in Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1820. Following a short layover, flight JK740 takes to the skies again at 2020 before touching back down in Tokyo at 0710 the following day.

JAL configures its fuel-efficient B787 aircraft with a two class layout, that offers 42 seats in business, and 144 seats in economy.
