China Airlines is poised to launch a new seasonal service to Christchurch from December 1 as part of its Australia/New Zealand expansion plan.
The three-weekly flight is slated to serve Christchurch from its Taipei Taoyuan Airport base via Sydney.
The new service makes China Airlines the only Taiwan-based carrier to fly to New Zealand, and the second Asian carrier to serve the South Island. Only Singapore Airlines has Christchurch currently in its network.
Flights will be operated by a two-class Airbus A330-300 with 30 seats in business, and 277 in economy. Click here for a seat plan.
