Luxury hotel group Raffles is set to open its first property in Istanbul on September 1.
The hotel is housed within the Zorlu Centre, a mixed-use complex comprising office, residential and retail space, located in the Besiktas district on the European side of the city and overlooking the Bosphorus.
Raffles Istanbul features 132 rooms and 49 suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces, walk-in closets and double vanity bathrooms with separate bath and shower.
There are two restaurants, including the latest outpost by Spanish Michelin-starred chef Sergi Arola (whose locations include the Ritz-Carlton managed Arts Hotel in Barcelona).
The hotel also features Istanbul’s take on the Long Bar (the iconic bar at the Raffles Singapore), with its own champagne room, and the Pool Bar and Grill is located on the 6th floor with views over the city.
Raffles Spa offers nine treatments, as well as an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, steam rooms and hammams, and for events there is a 1,200 sqm ballroom, seven meeting rooms and a boardroom.
Raffles Istanbul will be joined by a new property in Jakarta at the start of next year, with hotels also under development in Jeddah and Sharm el Sheikh.
