SAS has launched an all-business class service between the Scandinavian oil hub of Stavanger and Houston, aimed at “leading players in the oil industry”.
The six times-weekly route is being served by B737-700 aircraft fitted with 44 seats featuring “an SAS long-haul business class concept”. In-flight entertainment is via individual tablets pre-loaded with content.
Seats are configured 2-2 throughout, with a seat pitch of 60-61 inches. The interior image below is taken from SAS’ Twitter feed today.
The aircraft is being wet-leased from Privatair (which also operates selected scheduled services on behalf of Lufthansa), and will carry SAS colours.
Flight SK951 departs Stavanger at 1600 (every day except Tuesday), arriving into Houston at 1940, with the return leg SK952 leaving the US city at 2135, landing back into the Norwegian city at 1420 the following day.
