Australian carrier Qantas has launched a new online shopping hub for its Frequent Flyer programme, allowing members to earn points when shopping with a range of global brands.
Members can earn up to five points per Australian dollar spent with retailers including Apple, Selfridges, Ebay and Fortnum and Mason.
The new “Online Mall” is available to domestic and overseas members (providing the chosen retailer delivers to an overseas location without having to redirect the user to a different website).
Members will continue to use qantas.com for flight bookings and to manage all flying aspects of the Qantas Frequent Flyer account. The carrier said that the new website was “designed to help members explore all the ways to earn and use points across the hundreds of partners, as well as providing exclusive access to the Online Mall”.
The new hub follows several recent changes to the Qantas Frequent Flyer programme, reported by Business Traveller last month (see news July 17).
