East Midlands has unveiled its new Escape Lounge, part of a £12 million terminal redevelopment programme at the airport.
The new facility is nearly four times the size of the airport’s previous lounge, and features complimentary and paid-for food and drink options at The Deli, as well as free wifi and a choice of newspapers and magazines.
The lounge is open daily between 0400 and 2000, and adult entry costs £18.99 when pre-booked online or £22.50 at the door (£12.50 or £15 respectively for children under 12 years).
The Escape brand debuted at East Midlands’ sister airport Manchester (see news May 2010), and is also set to be added at London Stansted (which was bought by Manchester Airports Group last year – see news January 2013).
