As previously reported (see here), Business Traveller Asia-Pacific is proud to be a media sponsor for the upcoming EAST Aquathon 16.3, and will be supporting group editor Reggie Ho and Mix senior reporter Marisa Cannon as they compete in the race.
Response thus far has been fantastic, with over 216 entries since registration opened two weeks ago. As space for the inaugural event is limited to 500 competitors interested parties should act fast to secure spots.
The Hong Kong-based race, organised by Revolution Asia, is scheduled for October 18 and will see athletes take part in open-water swimming (1.5km), trail running in the mountains (7.5km) and road running (7.3km).
In total, competitors will have to tackle a distance of 16.3km and an elevation of 900m.
Race details are as follows:
Location: Starts at Chung Hom Kok Beach (across the twin peaks and tai tam reservoir) and finishes at Taikoo Place
Registration: Solo or teams of two
Party at Tong Chong Street, Quarry Bay: Celebrate with food stalls, drinks and more. Award ceremony will take place here.
Charity: Sedan Chair Charities Fund supports little known grass-roots charities in Hong Kong. The target is to raise HK$200,000
