Passengers flying with Jet Airways and Vietnam Airlines will soon be able to enjoy improved connectivity across both carriers’ networks as the two have entered into a codeshare partnership.
With immediate effect, the agreement sees the marketing code of India’s Jet Airways being placed onto Vietnam Airlines’ flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Bangkok and Singapore.
Reciprocally, Vietnam Airlines’ marketing code is now featured on all Jet Airways-operated flights between Mumbai/Delhi and Bangkok, as well as those from Mumbai/Delhi and Chennai to Singapore.
In addition, when Jet Airways launches its new service to Ho Chi Minh City from Bangkok in November later this year, Vietnam Airlines will codeshare on the route.
Gaurang Shetty, Jet Airways’ senior vice president expressed confidence that the “partnership will further increase the demand for business and tourist travel between India and Vietnam”.
