Air China to launch second Heathrow service

6 Aug 2014 by GrahamSmith

Air China will launch a second daily Beijing to London Heathrow service later this year.

From October 26, the airline will roster an A330 onto both flights between the two capitals, replacing the B777-300ER that currently operates on the route.

As a result, there will no longer be a first class cabin on the route as the Star Alliance member's A330 aircraft come in a two-class business/economy configuration.

Air China will stop transfer its Gatwick to Beijing service to Heathrow later this month.

Outbound services CA937 and CA855 depart Beijing at 1230 and 1430 respectively, landing in London at 1555 and 1750.

Return flights CA938 and CA856 take-off from LHR at 1740 and 2020 and arrive in Beijing at 1200 and 1440 the following day, reports airlineroute.net.

In June, Air China launched a non-stop service between Shanghai Pudong and Munich (see news, June 9).
