Intercontinental Hotels Group will open a Crowne Plaza property in Noida, India in 2018.
The 150-room Crowne Plaza Taj Expressway Noida will form part of a mixed-use development called Sector 98 Noida that will also feature corporate offices and retail spaces.
Pascal Gauvin, IHG's COO, India, Middle East and Africa, said: "India is a key market for us. It holds our third largest development pipeline globally, behind the US and China and over the next three to five years we will grow by nearly 300 per cent there.
"The new Crowne Plaza Taj Expressway Noida marks our expansion in a city we've just entered and we look forward to working with Sikka to growing our presence in Noida."
Noida is located 20 kilometres south-east of New Delhi.
IHG has signed a management agreement with New Delhi real estate developer Sikka to build the hotel.
It will be the second Crowne Plaza property in Noida, joining Crowne Plaza Greater Noida which opened at the end of last year.
IHG currently has 19 hotels in India across four brands — Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express — with 46 in the development pipeline. Seven of the 19 already open are Crowne Plaza properties.
