China Airlines shows off "choreographed livery"

As part of the its Taiwan Cultural and Creative Series of Livered Aircraft initiative that kicked off in June last year, China Airlines has today unveiled a new livery that features performers from reputed Taiwanese troupe Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. The first aircraft to take it to the skies will be one of the airline’s new A330-300s, flying to Rome via New Delhi tomorrow (July 22) with a two-class configuration containing 30 seats in business class and 227 in economy.

The livery features Ming-Yuan Tsai, Yi-Ping Su, Li-Hsiang Wang, Jia-Liang Lin and Wei-Ya Huang from Cloud Gate, in costumes designed by Jing-Ru Lin. Other Taiwanese artists involved are image designer Yi-Sheng Wang, photographer Chen-Hsiang Liu and master calligrapher Yang-Zi Dong
