Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the signing Radisson Blu Resort Chongqing BeiBei with CUTC Chongqing Easpring Hot Spring Development Co.
The hotel will be Carlson Rezidor’s fourth property in the southwestern Chinese metropolis of Chongqing, set to open in 2018.
Known for its hot springs and natural beauty, Chongqing is also a major manufacturing and pharmaceutical hub and one of China’s four municipal cities, alongside Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin.
Radisson Blu Resort Chongqing BeiBei is located close to the Cai Industrial Zone for high-tech industries, as well as the Shuitu High Tech Zone for pharmaceutical firms.
The hotel is also within a short drive from Yuelai International Convention Centre, and is accessible via several highways, the train station, and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport – well served by both domestic carriers as well as international airlines such as Qatar Airways, Asiana Airlines and Silk Air.
Featuring 280 guestrooms, Radisson Blu Resort Chongqing BeiBei will be part of a 220,000sqm mixed-use development called Yishang Mountain Hot Spring Town, which, in addition to the geothermal and wellness experience, will also have high-end residences, commercial space and other leisure facilities.
The hotel will have three restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, a fitness centre, spa, an indoor swimming pool and a number of flexible meeting spaces.
With the signing of Radisson Blu Resort Chongqing BeiBei, Carlson Rezidor now has 13 hotels in operations and 19 under development in China.
