Air Canada today opened its Maple Leaf lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 2.

The 700 sqm London Heathrow Maple Leaf Lounge is located in the terminal’s Departures Area 2B zone and is open from 0600 until 2200.

The facility features a quiet zone with three reclining pods with personal TV screens, USB ports and Sony noise-cancelling headsets; a spa-inspired shower area; a business centre with individual flatscreen Dell PCs, laser printers and scanners; and complimentary wifi.

Dining options include a cooking station with chef to prepare meals on request, a bar, and a bistro-style restaurant area.

Air Canada moved into Heathrow Terminal 2 last week (see news, June 18).

Craig Landry, Air Canada’s vice president of marketing, said: “We are delighted to welcome Air Canada and Star Alliance eligible customers to our new Maple Leaf Lounge at London Heathrow’s new Terminal 2.

“Our newest International Maple Leaf Lounge was created as an extension of the overall travel experience for our International Business customers.”

Eligible customers include Air Canada Altitude Super Elite 100K, Elite 75K and Elite 50K members, Star Alliance Gold members and customers travelling in Business Class, who have confirmed same-day travel on a departing Air Canada or Star Alliance flight.
