Hainan Airlines will fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport from Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport via Xian Xianyang airport two times a week. The service will start from September 3.
A 222-seat A330-200 will be used on the route, consisting of two classes – 36 business seats configured in a 2-2-2 format and 186 economy ones in a 2-4-2 setup. The service departs Hangzhou on every Wednesday and Sunday at 2115 to land in Xian at 2340 before taking off again at 0140 to reach Paris at 0735. The return leg leaves France at 1425 to arrive in Xian at 0700, and then take off again at 0900 for an 1105 touchdown in Hangzhou.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. The airline believes that people travelling for business will increase, and foresees sizeable demand for the new service.
