United Airlines has opened a new United Club lounge in San Francisco International Airport.
The San Francisco United Club is located on the mezzanine level near Boarding Area E in Terminal 3.
The 465 sqm facility contains more than 100 seats, bar and cafe areas, "abundant" power outlets and complimentary snacks, drinks and wifi.
United's San Francisco United Club lounge uses the above design concept
It is the latest to feature the airline's new United Club design concept, following lounges in Chicago, Seattle, San Diego and Boston. Last week, it opened a lounge in London Heathrow's brand new T2 (see news, April 10).
The new San Francisco airport club will operate in addition to United Club lounges at its domestic Terminal 3 Boarding Area F and in the airport's International Terminal.
The new United Club will remain in use until the airline completes a larger club, scheduled to open near Boarding Area E in 2015.
Jimmy Samartzis, United's vice president of customer experience, said: "This new United Club is a stepping stone toward delivering an end-to-end experience at San Francisco International Airport that makes our customers' travel enjoyable, relaxing and productive."
