Air China (CA) has started a non-stop service flying from Shanghai Pudong airport to the Munich Airport.
A 251-seat A330-200 is used on the route, and consists of two classes – 36 business seats configured in a 2-2-2 format and 215 economy in a 2-4-2 setup. The service departs Shanghai on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 0100 and arrives Munich at 0710 local time, while the return leg leaves at 1235 for a 0545 touchdown in China.
Previously passengers flying CA from Shanghai to Munich had to transit at Beijing Capital airport but the new direct flight, besides being more convenient and comfortable, saves two hours in journey time.
