Asia Pacific’s first ever Hyatt Place hotel has opened in the Dongmen district of Shenzhen.
Dongmen is a popular shopping district that is well accessible via the subway or taxi. It is also a mere four-minute drive from the Luohu business district.
Hyatt Place Shenzhen Dongmen is a particularly welcome entrant to the Chinese market, as the brand is designed to provide a select-service offering that meets the needs of both business and leisure travellers.
Select-service essentially bridges the gap between full-service and limited-service hotels, giving travellers a convenient third option. In this case, it includes modern design and practical amenities such as free wifi and 24-hour food offerings.
“Hyatt continues to grow the Hyatt Place brand strategically and thoughtfully in key markets, which provides new and existing guests with more options when they are travelling in China and throughout the world,” said Larry Tchou, group president, Asia Pacific, Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Hyatt Place Shenzhen Dongmen offers 144 guestrooms, all equipped with 42-inch HDTVs, the company’s signature Hyatt Grand Bed – which features a box spring system to give extra lower back support and minimise the effect of partner movement, and free wifi throughout the hotel.
Complimentary breakfast is available to all guests daily, with a variety of fresh fruits, hot and cold cereal, yoghurt, breads, coffee and juices to be served.
Dining outlets include the Gallery Kitchen, the hotel's all-day restaurant that offers local flavours as well as simple western comfort food, plus the Coffee to Cocktails Bar that serves speciality coffees, house beverages and cocktails.
In addition there is the 24/7 grab-and-go Market that sells salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts around the clock – perfect for those who have to rush off for an early meeting or are returning late to the hotel.
Other facilities include a 24-hour gym that is fully equipped with advanced cardiovascular equipment, and a business centre that offers several computer terminals with internet access and remote printing.
There is also more than 1,185 sqm of flexible meeting space available.
