SIA closes Hong Kong lounge for refit

22 May 2014 by GrahamSmith

Singapore Airlines has temporarily closed its Silverkris lounge at Hong Kong International Airport for refurbishment.

The facility will undergo renovation from the end of this month until mid-September.

The revamped lounge will feature the same concept as the newly opened Silverkris lounge in Sydney (see news, December 2013), according to a SIA spokesman.

During the lounge's temporary closure, eligible customers who would normally be granted access to the facility will instead be invited to use either the Plaza Premium Lounge, United Club or Royal Orchid Lounge.

The locations of these lounges are:

  • Plaza Premium Lounge — Level 7, Terminal 1 (use escalator or lift near Gate 40)
  • United Club — Level 7, Terminal 1 (use escalator or lift near Gate 60)
  • Royal Orchid Lounge — Level 7, Terminal 1 (use escalator or lift near Gate 40)

First class passengers are free to use any of the aforementioned lounges, while customers travelling in business class, as well as PPS Club and Kris Flyer Gold members travelling in economy class, are invited to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge.

SIA will have staff members stationed at the reception area of Plaza Premium Lounge during this period.
