Qatar Airways (QR) will increase capacity on its daily service to Seoul Incheon later this year.
The Gulf carrier will replace the exiting Airbus A320-200/-300 aircraft with the larger Boeing 777-300ER from September 2. The change is now reflected on the Gulf QR's website.
This will represent an end-to-end capacity upgrade across all cabin classes. Both the A330 and B777 feature a two-class configuration, but the latter offers 18 more seats in business class and an additional 45 in economy.
Flight times will remain the same, with QR858 departing Doha at 0115 daily, and arriving in Seoul at 1600. The return leg sees QR859 leave the South Korean capital at 0120 before arriving in Doha at 0525 – well timed to connect with onward flights to Europe.
Qatar Airways is the only carrier to offer direct flights between Doha and Seoul Incheon, which it does in a codeshare partnership with Asiana Airlines.
