16 May 2014 by Clement Huang

The five-star Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is partnering with Danish Chef Rene Redzepi and Noma, his acclaimed Copenhagen restaurant.

The deal will see the hotel’s own Michelin starred Signature restaurant host Noma and its culinary team between 9 to 31 January 2015.

The restaurant will welcome 50 guests daily for both lunch and dinner, offering the best of Noma’s carefully interpreted cuisine using seasonal, locally sourced Japanese ingredients and influences for the very first time.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Chef Redzepi and his talented colleagues who will make Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo their home in January 2015,” said general manager, Anthony Costa, “It is a great honour and a unique opportunity to introduce the #1 ranked restaurant in the world to the culinary delights of Japan.”

Bookings for the dinner service will be available from June 23, and can only be made by purchasing the ‘Noma at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’ accommodation package online.

Priced from JPY 149,500 (US$1466) for two, the offer includes one night accommodation at the hotel, along with the dinner, as well as breakfast and a special commemorative gift. Tax and service charges are not included.
