Emirates to operate daily Brussels service

29 Apr 2014 by GrahamSmith

Emirates will launch a new daily service to Brussels on September 5.

The non-stop flight, which will be operated by a B777 in a three-class configuration, will see Emirates become the first international carrier to offer first class from Brussels to the Middle East and Asia.

Outbound flight EK183 will depart Dubai at 0750 and arrive in Brussels at 1315, while return service EK184 will take-off from Brussels at 1445 and land back in Dubai at 2325. Note that these flight times are per summer scheduling.

Brussels will be the Gulf airline's eighth new destination this year, following the earlier launches of Kiev, Taipei and Boston, with Abuja and Kano scheduled to launch on August 1, Chicago on August 5 and Oslo on September 2.

Tim Clark, Emirates' president, said: "As the centre of European politics and a hub of economic activity, Brussels is already an important offline market for Emirates. Our research has shown that there is high demand for this route from across our network, from both the business and public sector as well as leisure travellers.

"Belgium operates an open and private enterprise-based economy and we expect this new service to further boost bilateral trade and commerce between the UAE and Belgium, which currently sits at around four billion euros per year."

Last week, it emerged that Emirates will deploy an A380 to Kuwait from July (see news, April 22).
