Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group is to open its first hotel in the Middle East.

The Langham, Palm Jumeriah in Dubai will contain 323 guestrooms, including 53 suites, and is scheduled to open next year.

The suites will have either one or two bedrooms and will range in size from 63 sqm to 236 sqm. Twenty-two will feature individual plunge pools.

Restaurants will include Palm Court, a Japanese restaurant, a waterfront seafood outlet, a breakfast room, an Arabic and Italian fusion café, an all-day restaurant featuring international buffet and a la carte selections, a beach restaurant and a juice bar that offers light snacks and refreshments.

The hotel will also feature a Club Lounge offering complimentary food and beverage presentations throughout the day and dedicated concierge service.

A spa will include 26 treatment rooms, while a fitness centre will feature a free-form swimming pool.

Robert Warman, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group, said: "We are very much looking forward to introducing The Langham's rich heritage and impeccable service values to Dubai."

Earlier this month, Langham told Business Traveller about its plans to reposition its four-star Eaton brand as a lifestyle offering and roll it out across Europe and North America (see news, April 4).
