Qatar to deploy A330 on Vienna route

Qatar Airways will upgrade the A320 that currently plies its daily Doha to Vienna route to an A330 on September 1.

The switch will up the number of weekly seats on the service to 336 in business class and 3,304 in economy, an increase of 168 and 1,624 seats respectively.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, outbound service QR183 departs Doha at 0835 and arrives in Vienna at 1325 local time. Return flight QR184 takes off from Vienna at 1615 and lands in Doha at 2235 local time.

On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, outbound flight QR181 leaves Doha at 0150 and arrives in Vienna at 0640, while return service QR182 departs Vienna at 1145 and lands in Vienna at 1805.

Günter Saurwein, Qatar Airways' country manager Germany and Austria, said: "We are extremely pleased that we are now able to offer an increase in capacity by introducing the A330 to the route in order to help meet the growing needs of our passengers."

Last week, Qatar Airways announced a new codeshare agreement with its Oneworld partner Cathay Pacific (see news, April 17).
